On July 26, the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation received a visit from McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada community relations officer Judy Jeannin, who came to present a cheque for $17,608.49. This amount was raised in May 2007, through the generosity of customers at McDonald’s 28 corporate restaurants across Canada, as part of the 15th annual McHappy Day.
A number of the Foundation’s representatives gathered to greet Ms. Jeannin for the presentation ceremony, which has held in the colourfully decorated hallways of the CHU Sainte-Justine Physiotherapy Unit.
This year, the McDonald’s Restaurants McHappy Day raised over $1.3 million for organizations dedicated to helping children in need. Ronald McDonald House Charities is also a beneficiary of this major fundraising drive.
