This donation will allow him, in collaboration with Dr Haddad and Dr Robitaille, to develop a new animal model of Rasmussen's disease to better understand the inflammatory causes of epilepsy and to discover how to help treat the condition and improve the quality of life of children afflicted with this devastating form of epilepsy.

Thank you RE Children’s Project for this generous support.

About RE CHILDREN’S PROJECT
The RE Children's Project was founded in 2010 to increase awareness regarding Rasmussen's Encephalitis (RE) for the primary purpose of supporting scientific research directed towards a cure. Rasmussen’s Encephalitis is a rare neurological condition that impacts children primarily under 13 years of age rendering them paralyzed on one side of their body and experiencing incurable epilepsy. In many cases, the removal of half of the brain is the only solution to stop the uncontrollable seizures.
