The donation of € 35,300 will permit the development of a new Encyclopedia entry on social violence as well as an Encyclopedia dissemination tool for countries in development.

The Bernard van Leer Foundation is an international grant making foundation based in Netherlands. Their mission is to improve opportunities for young children who are growing up in socially and economically difficult circumstances. They promote more cohesive, considerate and creative societies with equal opportunities and rights for all. Through their free publications they share what they learn with practitioners and policy-makers and shape the debate about early childhood care and education.
