CIRCUIT: prevent cardiovascular disease risk right from childhood

CIRCUIT is an initiative whose mission is to offer personalized strategies of intervention to families having a child or a teenager presenting a specific risk of cardiovascular disease. The program aims at inculcating healthy lifestyle practices, while directing these young people towards the available resources in their community. Young people at risk constitute an important portion of the population. At the present time, in Quebec only, nearly one third of the young people present a risk of developing a cardiovascular disease.

First initiative of its kind in Canada, CIRCUIT is at the heart of Sainte-Justine UHC’s vision; create a Quebec in which children, teenagers and mothers enjoy one of the best levels of health in the world. The Forzani Group Foundation joined forces with la Fondation Bon Départ de Canadian Tire du Québec, the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, Metro Inc., Sun Life Financial and the Midtown, Sporting Club Sanctuary as contributors to the CIRCUIT program. Their generosity is a major asset which enables us to offer an optimal level of health to children

Regarding the Forzani Group Foundation

The Foundation provides financial support to other registered charities, Canadian amateur athletic associations and other qualified donors whose activities involve the promotion of physical fitness, health and wellness, the prevention and relief of sickness and disability, or the participation and education in sports across Canada.
