My sickness is part of my daily life. Every day, with my mom, I do my breathing exercises to get the phlegm out of my lungs, as well as 20 minutes of inhaled antibiotic therapy twice a day. I also have to take about 30 tablets like liver enzyme supplements and other pills to help my digestive system. I have to have a lot of tube feeding to keep me at a healthy weight and make sure I grow normally. When I was five, I had a big operation on my stomach. I didn’t enjoy eating purée for more than three weeks!

Ever since I was small, I’ve been coming to the hospital for lung puncture tests and blood tests. Sainte-Justine is MY hospital. Everyone who works there is nice. I like joking with the nurses and bringing them drawings. I also like it when the volunteers give me presents when I have a blood test.
