How can I organize a fundraising activity?
The first step is to complete the online Registration Form. Once we’ve received your request and approved your choice of activity, a member of our team will contact you to guide you through the process.
Can the Foundation promote my fundraising activity?
We can include your activity in our Activity Calendar on our website. You can use the space reserved to indicate the name, date, place and time of your activity, along with a brief description.
Could there be another activity similar to mine?
Most of the activities organized on behalf of the Foundation are listed in the Activity Calendar on our website. This should help you better plan your event.
I have a lot of questions regarding income tax receipts.
We invite you to consult our Tax Receipt Guide.
If you have further questions, please call us at 514 345-4710.
Will the Foundation find sponsors for my fundraising activity?
We can help you target companies that are a good fit for your event. However, you are in charge of approaching the potential companies you will have selected with a Foundation consultant.
Can you provide funds for my fundraising activity?
Under no circumstances can the Foundation cover fees associated with an activity or provide a cash advance.
Will all those who participate in my activity be able to receive an official tax receipt?
Yes. However, you must provide us with a list of your donors, including the following information: donor’s name, complete address, method of payment and donation amount.
Can I obtain promotional material for my fundraising activity?
Once your activity has been approved, we can provide you with various promotional items such as streamers, posters, and documentation on the Foundation and Sainte-Justine UHC.
Can I use the Foundation’s list of donors to attract participants to my event?
Donor lists cannot be disclosed. We have a very strict confidentiality policy which does not allow us to share information about our donors.
Do I have to obtain a permit or insurance for my activity?
For any gambling-type activity (casino, bingo, poker), you must obtain a special permit from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Visit the website at www.racj.gouv.qc.ca to obtain the permit request form. Once you have completed the form, please send it to us.
If you want to hold your event in a public place, you may need a certificate of insurance. Ask you advisor for further details.
