Get your activity approved by the Foundation
Complete the Fundraising Activity Proposal Form. An advisor will contact you in the next ten days to guide you through the process.
Set up an organizing committee.
The key to success is to gather together people who are enthusiastic, available and fun ! Don't forget to recruit enough volunteers to do all the tasks related to your activity.
Set an objective.
Set a realistic and easily measurable financial goal.
Plan a brainstorming.
Have a meeting of your organizing committee and let your imagination go.
Choose an appropriate activity.
To combine success and fun, aim for a project that is appropriate for your committee members, in terms of the availability, aptitudes and interests of each member.
Identify your target groups.
Who does your activity address? Who could it interest? Who could get involved?
Set an appropriate date.
Choose a date that works for your committee members and for your activity’s target participants.
Plan a budget.
The more you lower your costs through sponsorships, the more income you’ll generate, and the more you’ll be able to help the children and mothers-to-be at Sainte-Justine!
Create your personalized Web page.
Do you want to maximize the amount of money you donate to Sainte-Justine? By creating your own Web page, you can send emails to all of your contacts inviting them to make an online donation. You can also register the amount collected on your page and follow your progress. Register now!
Promote your activity.
By giving you the green-light to organize a benefit, the Foundation allows you to use its name and logo. However, you are required to submit the advertising material for your activity for approval before printing, broadcasting or distributing it.
Raise the funds
Once your activity has been completed, the profits must be transferred to the Foundation in no more than 45 days. By law, tax receipts will be issued four weeks after receiving donations. Ask your advisor about the rules for issuing tax receipts to your donors or participants.
Say thank you!
Thank everyone who contributed to the success of your activity. Don't forget to tell them how much money you raised and how successful your benefit was.
